MISSION & PHILOSPHY
At Music Art & Movement, our goal is to provide a nurturing space where children explore and learn through play, literature, and creative expression. Rooted in the arts, our program encourages students to discover more about themselves and the world around them through hands-on, joyful experiences.
We believe that a child’s appreciation for beauty, and their discovery of personal passion is shaped by their environment. When surrounded by rich artistic experiences, students develop new perspectives and deepen their understanding of literature, history, and even math.
Additionally, we understand that not all children are word-oriented learners; they absorb information through different modalities. Music, art, and movement offer students the opportunity to learn through multiple sensory channels: visually, auditorily, and kinesthetically. This rich, sensory experience provides a diverse range of learning options.
We believe in the power of literature-based instruction as a foundation for meaningful learning. Through carefully selected stories and texts, students:
Understand vocabulary in context
Develop higher-level thinking and communication skills
Gain insight into diverse cultures and perspectives
Build empathy through exposure to new world views
Stay engaged, increasing retention of material
Play-based learning is equally central to our philosophy. Research shows that learning through play leads to:
Stronger language, cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development
Increased creative and critical thinking skills
And a greater sense of joy and motivation—because learning should be fun!
Above all, we believe that every child is a unique artist in the making. With the right environment, quality instruction, and meaningful opportunities for creative exploration, our students will grow not only as artists, but also as creative problem solvers, innovative thinkers, and insightful individuals.
